SDS's IDX cooling system consists of central cooling system and special hosting room cooling system. For the security and stable operation of the computer system, the hosting room is equipped with redundancy air conditioner set with N+1 for each sealed fire prevention area. According to different functions, the custody hosting rooms on the 2nd floor, 3rd floor and 4th floor are equipped with special precision air conditioners of under-floor air-distribution. Besides, water-proof function is installed between air conditioner and cabinet area and the under-floor water proof function of the air conditioner is built as a slope with weep hole and the surrounding of cabinet area is equipped with water leakage detector with all inlet valves installed with electronic control valve.

To facilitate the heat radiation of cabinet and based on the location of precision air conditioners in the hosting room and the principle of air circulation, cabinets every two lines are positioned face to face and the two neighboring lines of cabinets stand back to back. No outlet on the floor behind the cabinet. In this way, the hot air from the cabinet back will be absorbed by the air conditioner when it comes out since hot air rises upward and meanwhile the cold air from air conditioner, since it is relatively heavy, will be supplied to the cabinet through under-floor air distribution. This kind of air circulation helps to ensure that every cabinet stays within a relatively low temperature.

Refrigeration unit still needs to work to support the operation of equipment during transfer season and winter season since the equipment in power room produces much heat. In this case cooling process is undoubtedly energy consumptive. So the air-conditioning system of natural cooling with outdoor air is a better choice. Outdoor cold air is transferred into the room by air handler with its temperature and humidity treatment to meet the requirement for temperature and humidity without the running of the refrigeration unit.
